The Virus

We have been very lucky in regards to Gage not having any ear infections, colds, the flu, etc. Just five days before we were scheduled to take off to Utah/Idaho, Gage woke up even earlier then normal (5:15 am as opposed to 6:00 am). The little Gager boy not only had a fever but also no appettite. This warrented a visit to the doctor, as his fever was over 103.2. After a few minutes, the doctor determined Gage had a virus that "just needed to work it self out." "Work it self out" are the last words you want to hear as a mom. I took the day off and stayed home with my sick little guy. The positive of this whole situation was that Gage just wanted to be held, which is highly unusual, but a very welcome thing for a mom who loves to hold her baby. I held Gage and we watched You Tube music videos (Gage loves music) all morning long. He even fell asleep in my arms, which he hasn't done since he was about four months old. Thankfully the virus "worked its way out" and Gage was back to the high energy, smiling, little boy that he is within two days.
Of course Teddy had to be with him all day. At the doctor's.............
 And in the highchair................

Wedding Bells

Introducing - Derek and Kayla Livingston
Est. 2011
Congratulations to my newly wed sister, Mrs.Kayla Hill Livingston! Kayla and Derek were married in the Rexburg, Idaho temple on July 22, 2011. I flew out solo, for a quick two day trip so I could be there for the sealing. Rob and Gage had fun together here in Milwaukee and kept things running along. Rob, Gage, and I are all flying out for the Emmett reception in a couple of weeks. It was SUPER hard leaving Gage......harder on me then him apparently, because when I came back he was still all smiles. Shout out to Rob for being such a great, hands on dad! : )

30 minutes

Gage loves having my attention, all of it. And of course I love giving it to him. However, with that being said, it doesn't leave much time to get things done around the house. Today after breakfast he appeared to be doing better then normal in his high chair so I took advantage of the situation and gave him a few toys to play with. It's amazing how much I was able to get down in thirty minutes. I was happy to be able to check a few things off my to do list and Gage was happy to play.

11 months

Gage turned 11 months old a few days ago. Month 10 was a great one for Gage. Finally at 10 1/2 months Gage stopped spitting up. This was a very long awaited day for us and one we won't forget. Gage is a happy little guy and loves to walk around the house with his push toy. Gage is slowly going off soy formula and his bottle consists of half soy formula, half regular. Gage loves table food and no longer likes baths. His favorite toys still tend to be cooking untenils and his musical leap frog table.

Gage with his walking toy, he goes back and forth from the kitchen to the living room and then back again
We sat this box of barbeque sauce by the basement door but before we could take it downstairs, Gage found it and was amused by taking the bottles in and out. We left if there for a few days just for his enjoyment :)

 Gage still loves Teddy

Gage and Cooper both think it's fun to watch daddy mow the lawn

Lately, Gage is really entertained by crawling into Cooper's kennel or sitting on Cooper's bed. Cooper is a great sport and lets Gage have fun exploring.

4th of July

One of Rob's favorite holidays is the fourth of July so he was really excited to take Gage to his first parade. We had a barbeque and then headed over to Hales Corners to watch their parade. Gage loved staring at all the floats and people. He did pretty well with the loud noises from the fire trucks and horns, there was only one truck that was a little too loud and Gage tried to cover his ears. I thought the Dancing Grannies were awesome! :)

When the Aunts come to visit

I LOVE these two pictures!
When Aunt Shan and Aunt Kayla come to visit, everyone has a blast!! :) I think Gage probably enjoys it a little more because he gets all the extra attention. Shanna and Kayla flew into Milwaukee and stayed with us for about five days. It was a full five days of fun, shopping, sun time, movies, good food, and of course, never ending attention for Gage. Gage quickly bonded with both of them and loved each minute he got with them. Countdown to Auntie Kay's wedding starts now! :)
Gage anxiously awaiting their arrival at the airport
 Finally they arrive
And greet Gage just like this :)
We didn't even make it out of the airport before they already had Gage laughing

We  loved having Shan and Kayla around because they gave us a break as they:
Cooked

Cleaned
And got up early with Gage
Beach Day 1
Gage did so well going from store to store to store

Aunt Shan forgot about Gage in the dressing room for a few seconds and when we opened the door back up we saw that Gage was having a blast keeping himself entertained!
Auntie Kay was paying a little more attention to the lotion then Gage and with swift hands he grabbed the sample lotion and squirted it ALL over the floor, tablecloth, and himself.
Aunt Shan rocks at giving fun rides

Gage's new favorite thing walking, with a little help of course
Finally home after a long day of shopping
 Beach Day 2
Gage loves the beach and had fun walking around in the sand

Packing at 4:30 am, :(
Waiting in line to check in
Running to security as the plane was already boarding
Thanks for coming! We loved it and can't wait to see you again.
