Leo's Baby Showers
We were blessed to have three wonderful baby showers for little Leo. When I went out to Utah in April, Shan threw me a shower at Grandma Hirschi's with friends and family. Grandma Hill organized a luncheon with the Hill side of the family. My visiting teachers put together a wonderful baby shower in late June here in Milwaukee. Rob and I are grateful for the support of all who attended. We got adorable clothes, practical bath items, blankets galore, cute baby books and a few essential rattles and toys!I can't wait to see this little guy dressed in the clothes, wrapped in the blankets, and playing with the toys. This is such an exciting time!

How Leo became Leo
Once we found out we were pregnant we quickly went online to find out the due date of the baby. The first website we went to not only had the baby's due date but also the astrology sign. Rob and I are not big astrology believers, however, we read the charactersitics of a Leo and began to laugh. A Leo tends to have personality traits that neither Rob or I have. So in good fun we began calling the baby Leo. The nickname quickly stuck and he has been known as "Leo" since December of 2009.

Leo's First Pictures
We had our first ultrasound on March 19,2010. We were so excited to find out the sex of the baby, however, our little one had other ideas. He kept his legs closed and wasn't willing to comply! The ultrasound tech had me walk around, eat something and roll onto my sides but nothing could convince this little guy to uncross and seperate his legs. Fortunately, I have a friend going to school to be an ultrasound tech. She asked if I could come in and let the class practice on me. The instructor had to check me first to make sure everything still looked okay. During this time she was quick to come to the conclusion we were having a boy. I have been in twice more and they continue to report with 99% accuracy that we are having a boy. With excitement and a little apprehension we have been planning for a boy. The ultrasounds show him growing at a healthy pace and we are grateful.
